Day and Night License Plate Capture

StarDot's NetCam SC multi-megapixel IP cameras provide a turnkey solution for day/night license plate capture applications. StarDot's low light performance and enhanced configuration menu allow the camera to capture clear LPC video at night without the need for an IR illuminator or strobe flash. For applications where the vehicle is moving at higher speeds, the addition of an IR illuminator provides an even more powerful solution.

Unlike analog CCTV LPC cameras, the StarDot megapixel solutions do not require a special housing outfitted with special glass. StarDot's cameras can be used in a standard ventilated enclosure without the need for a heater or blower (the cameras are rated -40°F to +120°F). Another differentiating factor between StarDot's LPC solutions and standard CCTV LPC is the number of lanes supported. Typical LPC systems have enough resolution for only one lane of traffic. StarDot cameras can capture up to five lanes of traffic with a single camera.

Please note that unlike the interactive video files which are at full resolution quality, the non-interactive videos are not at full resolution as they have to be formatted for web viewing. You can expand the non interactive videos to full screen mode by clicking on the square icon at the bottom right corner of the video frame. All videos were taken from a single NetCam SC Camera.
